ROBERT SAMUEL "BOB" HILLGARTNER, 76, died Feb. 13, 2001 in
Mesquite Hospital of heart disease. Born July 22, 1924, in
Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a
sister, and 2 brothers. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran
Church in Pittsburgh, PA, and a member of VFW Post 8537. He
was a devoted husband, loving father, and caring grandfather.
He was employed with F.W. Woolworth Co. in Fort Worth, TX,
where he met and married his wife of 50 years and y months.
He was employed and retired from AT&T/Lucent Technology of
Mesquite in 1985. After retirement he worked part time at
Adessa Automobile Auction in Mesquite. He served in the U.S.
Army overseas in Italy.
Survivors at the time of his death include his wife Flora
Irene (Bailey) Hillgartner, four sons and wives Billy and
Priscilla, Milton and Sharon, Bobby and Linda, and Terry,
one grandson, 9 granddaughters, two brother, Henry Raymond
Hillgartner and wife Edith of Pittsburgh, PA, Clare Donald
and wife Sandra of North Versaalles, PA, five nephews, one
niece, and a host of friends.
