BETTY POWELL, born June 7, 1934 and entered into the Kingdom
of Heaven on Oct. 8, 1999, at the age of 65.
She leaves behind, to rejoice in her memory, her husband, Bill
Powell of Mesquite; mother, Marie Singletary of Alabama; son,
John Littlejohn and wife Jaala of Willis Point; daughter, Debra
Bailey and husband Michael of Mesquite; son, Raymond Powell and
wife Jeri of Watauga; son Tom Powell of Pennsylvania; grand-
children, Sabrina Bailey of College Station, Valerie Bailey of
Mesquite, Jennifer Powell of Chicago, Megan Powell of Watauga
and Diana Powell of Watauga; great-granddaughter, Madalyne Powell;
sisters, Ann Mann of Garland and Sammie McBride of Alabama;
brothers, Walter Singletary of Georgia and Henry Singletary of
Alabama. Betty was preceded in death by her father, Sam Singletary.
Interment was at Laurel Oaks Cemetery in Balch Springs, TX.
