MERLENE CHANEY CORLEY was born Jan. 24, 1942 in
Wills Point, TX and went to be with her Lord on
Dec. 25, 2002 in Mesquite, TX. She retired with
Lucent Technology and was a member of Mesquite
Valley Baptist. Burial was in Restland Memorial
Park.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill
Chaney and granddaughter, Shanda Nicole Watson.
At the time of her death, she was survived by her
husband of 45 years, Dennis Corley; her children,
Kathleen Denise Jones, Dennis Dwain Corley,
Deborah Kay and husband Richard Bentley, Rusty
Corley; adopted daughter, Tina Shirley; grand-
children, Jeremy Watson, Tiffany Watson, Heather
Merlene Deninger; adopted grandson, Andrew Caleb;
great-grandchildren, Junior & Shaynie; her mother,
Marhy Lee Chaney; siblings, Joyce Johnson, Ray
Chaney, Earlene Walker, Gail Hibdon and numerous
nieces and nephews.
