Dallas Works Memorial - Employees In Remembrance

Rose Cain ROSE MIKULA CAIN passed away at home March 28,2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born to Joe Frank and Mary Babek Mikula on Oct. 20, 1936, in Ennis Texas. She was a graduate of St. John's Catholic High School in Ennis and of St. Paul's School of Nursing in Dallas. She was certified in Occupational Health and was very active in the Occupational Nurses Association serving as president of the local and state chapters as well as a director to the National Organization of Occupational Nurses. She retired from AT&T in 1997. Rose was very creative, starting a company, "Rose Bud Creations". She was interested in antiques and collectibles, having a booth in Buchanan's Market for eight years. She was cofounder/owner of an occupational health organization, "Worksite Wellness." She was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas, serving as lector until her illness forced her to retire. Rose was also a volunteer with the State Fair Parade Committee for over 25 years. Burial was at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Ennis, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jodie Mikula and sister, Alice Livingston. Survivors at the time of her death were her husband, Dr. Charles Cain; stepson, Carl and wife Alice; sister, Mary Ann Albrecht and husband, Al; Nieces: Carol Clemons and husband David, children - Homer, Maddie and Faith; Jo Ann Livingston; Alanna Oliver and husband Javier, children - Joshua, Luke, Sofia and Analise; Annette Walsh and husband David, children - Brittany and Matthew. Nephews: Andy Albrecht; Dennis Livingston, Michael Livingston and daughter, Lydia; Kenneth Mikula and wife, Becky, children - Keith, Bradley, and Cassie; Nick Mikula and wife, Patti and son, Nicholas; Andy Mikula and wife, Sandra, children - Savannah, Briana, Drew and Corey; Orren Hooper and wife, Janise; loving extended relatives; loyal and trusted friend, Helen Taylor.
