GLENDA LOUANN HARLAN SWEENEY was born in Turkey, TX on
July 24, 1936. She lost her battle with COPD and Diabetes
on May 18, 2005 in Lilburn, Georgia. She was called home
by her Lord and beloved daughter, Vicky Lynn. Glenda loved
her little house and made it home for 30+ years. She loved
fishing, books, flowers, music and the color yellow. Auntie
Glenda was a high spirited and giving lady who loved those
around her. She retired in 1994 from AT&T after 22 years
of service where she worked in the shipping and receiving
department at the Dallas Works.
At the time of her death, she was survived by sons, Carl
Sweeney, Jr. (wife Sandy), Cliff Sweeney, her best friend
in life, Marty Garner, her beloved sister and friend, Kay
McKinney, her sister, Jane Bartts and one brother, Neal
(Buddy) Harlan, Jr. She was a special Auntie to Theresa
Kay, Tami, Mary and many others. She is also survived by
two granddaughters. Interment was at Grove Hill Memorial
Park.
