Pete Peterson ALFRED LEON "PETE" PETERSON, 72, born Oct. 20, 1941, died June 23, 2014, in San Antonio, TX. Pete graduated from Texas Tech with a BBA in 1963 and an MBA in 1965. He played football for Texas Tech for one year as a freshman and one year varsity. He was proud to share that he was Golden Glove Heavyweight Runner-Up Champion for the state of Texas in 1960 and 1961. After graduation he went to work for Western Electric Co. in New York City where he began his life long career of 30 years with them. Western Electric eventually became AT&T and then spun off to Lucent Technology. Pete was the Controller for Power Systems from about 1991 to 1995 at the Dallas Works. He and Susan moved all over the country with Western Electric, residing in Chicago, Houston, San Francisco, Baltimore, Nashville, New Jersey and Dallas. He retired from Lucent Technology in 1995. Pete and Susan moved to Fair Oaks Ranch in 1999 and made many good friends. He served on the FORHA (Fair Oaks Ranch Home Owners Associ- ation) Board for 6 years and ran the Fair Oaks Ranch Men's Golf Gaggle for 5 years. He was a very loving and generous man. At the time of his death, Pete was survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan E. Peterson; his daughter, Christine Juliano; son-in-law, Michael Juliano; and his grandson, Matthew Juliano. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Faye Peterson; and nephews, Brian and Brad Peterson.
