ANGELINA GOMEZ GONZALES known to loved ones as
"Angie or Lina", age 64 from Rowlett, TX died on
Jan. 12, 2016 surrounded by the love and prayers
of her family.
She was born Jan. 27, 1951 in El Pedregal, Michoacan,
Mexico, the youngest of 10 children. She moved to
Chicago, IL as a child. It is there she met and fell
in love with her husband Jose in church. After a long
courtship they married in Dec. of 1971 at the Parish
of Notre Dame in Chicago.
Angelina loved to dance, be in her garden, shop, and
accompany her grandkids to their many activities. She
loved anything that had to do with the service of
others, such as cooking, volunteering, visiting the
sick and fundraising. She was a mother, sister, mentor
and friend to many
She was a God loving woman. She served the Parish of
St. Bernard of Clairavaux for 30 years, making this
her second home. She served as a Eucharistic Minister,
Lector and was Hispanic Youth Group Leader with her
husband for a time.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jose Luis
Gonzalez. Her children, Cynthia Gonzalez Bartlett,
Jose Luis Gonzalez Jr., Nancy Cardona and Veronica
Gonzalez. Her grandkids Jocelyn Lopez, Christian Lopez,
Ryan Lopez, Lexi Cardona, Angelina Cardona and Benjamin
Cardona. Her siblings Eleodoro Gomez, Antonio Gomez,
Soledad Alvarez and many nieces, nephews, godchildren
and friends.
She is predeceased in death by her parents Angelina
Anaya and Maximino Gomez. Her siblings Maximino Gomez
Jr. ,Guadalupe Gomez, Evangelina Grajeda, Josefina
Navarrete, Manuel Gomez and Leonor Molina. Her grand-
daughter Jessica Bryanna Lopez.
