WESLEY ROGER GRIFFITH of Arnold, MO, passed into God’s hands suddenly on Oct. 7, 2016, with interment in Mount Hope Cemetery. Beloved husband of 58 yrs. to Anna Griffith (nee Baeumner); loving dad of Lisa (Tony) Sofia & Jennifer (Dan) Jones; dear grandpa of Drew & Abby Sofia, Melissa (Chris) Ford, Andrew & Ellie Jones and great-grandpa of Grace Ford; brother of Kathy Colvin, Becky Christante and the late Lovell, Sylvan, Donald, Mike, Larry & David Griffith; brother-in-law of Clarence Colvin, Joe Christante, Linda, Wanda and Janet Griffith, Mary Kay Soucy, Walter (Mary) Moore & Melba Shell; our uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. Wes was born in July 21, 1938 & fondly known as “The Ambassador.” He graduated from McKinley High School in the Class of 1956, He retired from AT&T after 30 years and then founded and operated the Ponderosa Steakhouse in Arnold for the past 28 years. He was known for his hospitality, welcoming his guests with a warm smile and served his community in numerous ways. He was past President and loyal member of the Arnold Rotary Club, past President of the Fox C-6 School Board, Board Member of the Fox Foundation, Jefferson College Foundation, Arnold Tourism board and Jefferson County Salvation Army and a charter member of the Fortune Bank Board of Directors.
