PHILLIP LEE KOESTER, 53, of Mesquite, TX, formerly of Steelville, MO, was born Dec. 26, 1963 at Troy, MO, to the union of Eugene & Renae (Nee: Brewer) Koester. He left from this life on Nov. 24, 2017 in Ballwin, MO. Phil had worked at the AT&T plant in Mesquite, TX as a tech. He was a test lab technician at Benning Power Electronics in Richardson TX. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics, especially pc’s, and had been in the telecommunications power field throughout his career. He spent his free time watching Sci-Fi and fantasy series (Game of Thrones, DC & Marvel), sports (the Dallas Cowboys and the St. Louis Cardinals) & surfing the net. He loved his 2002 Trans-Am Firehawk. He was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Phil is preceded in death by his father Eugene Koester and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving mother Renae Cassidy of Steelville, two sisters Jeanne Reany of Belleville, IL and Vicki and husband Mark Cason of Cuba, two brothers Mark Koester of Wilmington, DE and Alan Koester of Ballwin, MO, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins & a host of other relatives and friends. In keeping with Phil’s wishes, he was cremated and his ashes will be inurned at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba.
