VIVIAN "LYNN" DANIEL SPICOLA, 68, of Shreveport, LA, died
in her home, surrounded by her family on Nov. 19, 2017.
Lynn passed away peacefully in her home after losing her
battle with cancer. She will be remembered as a loving
and giving person.
Lynn was born on July 15, 1949 in Charlotte, NC. She
moved to Louisiana with her family in the mid-fifties.
She was a graduate of Woodlawn High School (1967) and
attended Ayer's School of Business as well as LSUS. She
began work for Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent Technologies
in the late sixties and retired from there with thirty
years of service. She worked in production control at
the Mesquite plant. After retirement she obtained her
realtor's license and worked for Coldwell Banker.
Lynn was always giving or doing for all of her family
but it did not stop there. She knitted and decorated
hats for the children at St. Jude's Hospital and was
a frequent contributor to St. Jude's as well as other
organizations and individuals in need. Lynn was an
active member of the Telephone Pioneers and, as a
member of that group, participated in the "Clown Unit"
entertaining young and old for several years. She was
an active member of Christ United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Doris
Daniel; her brother-in-law, Don Quinn; and her nephew
James Wright.
Lynn is survived by her sister, Priscilla "Prissy" Quinn
(who also worked at the Mesquite plant) of Shreveport,
LA and her brother & sister-in-law, Bill & Becky Daniel
of Blanchard, LA. The children and grandchildren of
Prissy and Bill will miss "Aunt Lynn" as she loved and
nurtured each of them. They are: Jennifer Quinn (and
Cook), Lisa Harris, Shaun Quinn (& Amie), Austin Daniel,
Dakota Davis, Dillon Quinn, Preston Cook, Brooklyn Cook,
and Kaiden Alexander.
