TWILA REED, 75, passed away on Oct. 24, 2018, after a
long battle with vascular dementia, she went peacefully
at home with her family by her side. She was a resident
of Texas at the time of passing.
Twila was born in Wichita, KS on Oct. 31, 1942. In 1968,
Walter & Twila moved their family to Mesquite TX. She
worked at the Mesquite plant mostly on 2nd shift. Twila
dearly loved her family and enjoyed doll-making, ceramics,
and quilting. Twila was a passionate animal-lover and
worked for Mesquite ISD for many years as an aide on the
school bus.
Twila is preceded in death by her parents, the love of
her life, Walter Reed, her loving second husband, Jim
Gwynn, and her son Lyle E Christy JR.
Twila will be forever remembered by her loving children,
Gary Reed and wife Deborah, Lori Abbott and husband Greg,
Michael Reed and wife Brenda, Max Reed and wife Shirley,
and Jerry Reed and wife Carol, Donald Reed, and Patricia
Brown, and her sisters Crystal Ogle and husband Dan, and
Peggy Formosa and husband Robert.
Twila was adored by her grandchildren Candis Melton and
husband Daniel, William White, Jeremy Reed & wife Courtney,
Kelsey Vieregge and husband Josh, Hannah Reed, Melissa
Donohue and husband Chris, Adam Reed and wife Tanisha,
Scott Reed and wife Michaella, Jennifer Reed, Megan Reed,
Becky Thaxton, Mark Reed, Aidan Reed, Christina Brown and
Crystal Curtis.
Twila will be forever remembered by her numerous great-
grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and
dear friends.
