Ray Mayer RAYMOND "RAY" GEORGE MAYER, 53, of McKinney, TX passed away on April 21, 2020. He was born Oct. 20, 1966 to George and Mary Elizabeth (Wittrock) Mayer in Haledon, New Jersey. Ray grew up in Haledon where he graduated from Manchester Regional High School. He acquired a Bachelor of Engineering with Honor degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, and also received a Master of Science degree from California Institute of Technology. Ray worked for several companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area as an Electrical Engineer. Ray was a volunteer fire fighter for 30 years, starting in New Jersey and the majority of his time in Parker, TX. He married Amy Marie Kincaid in March of 2012 in Allen, TX. Ray was a long-time parishioner at St. Jude Catholic Church, and after moving to McKinney, St. Gabriel the Archangel. Ray was a man of many talents. He enjoyed flying small planes and was a Third Degree Black belt in Tae Kwon-Do. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, playing his guitar, and golfing with his wife and friends. He is survived by his wife, Amy of McKinney, TX; daughters, Kathryn Kincaid of Silverdale, Washington and Hope Bradley and husband, Tyler of Lakewood, CO; mother, Mary Elizabeth Mayer of Haledon, NJ; brother, Kenneth Mayer of Haledon, NJ and a host of other loving family and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his father, George.
