ALBERT WILLIAM "SONNY" SMITH, 78, died on Nov. 20,
2020. He was born Oct. 18, 1942 in Upshur County,
TX to the parents of Ennis Smith & Kizzell McClung
Smith. He was educated in the Valley View school
system. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He
was a faithful member of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship
church where he served as an ambassador. He worked
many years for AT&T before its closure. He continued
working for himself in the home restoration industry,
while furthering his education in 2011 by graduating
from Cedar Valley College with his Heating and Air
Condition Certification. He loved to cook, go fishing,
watch the Cowboys games, and spend time with family
and friends. He served a dedicated position as
President of the McClung Family Reunion and prepared
the menu for the reunion.
Proceeded in his homegoing and awaiting his heavenly
arrival are his parents Ennnis and Kizzell Smith; his
brother: Robert Smith, his sisters: Trixie Callahan,
Imogene Trimble, Mozell Jimmerson, Cetta Cameron and
Dorothy Smith and other relatives and friends.
Albert leaves to cherish his memories and continue his
legacy, his children: Eric Smith Sr. and Bridgett Smith,
grandchildren: Alexis King and Eric Smith Jr., and his
siblings: Elaine Daniels, Wanda Jones, & Willie Callahan
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & other relatives
and friends.
