THELMA LOIS ABLES PUGH, 85, a Coalgate
resident, passed away on Oct. 12, 2022 at
her home in Coalgate, OK, with interment at
Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
She was born on Dec. 15, 1936, to James “Jim”
Columbus & Cleo Agnes (Cantrell) Ables, at
Shady Grove, OK. Thelma graduated from Olney
High School. She was a cable former for AT&T.
Thelma married Bobbie Dean Pugh in Dec. of
1954 at Durant, OK. He preceded her in death
in 1988. She later married Wilburn Lee Edward
at Las Vegas. He also preceded her in death
in 2003. Thelma attended Cottonwood Baptist
Church and was a member of the Eastern Star.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and going
to yard sales. She loved her animals and
spending time with her family.
