Thelma Pugh THELMA LOIS ABLES PUGH, 85, a Coalgate resident, passed away on Oct. 12, 2022 at her home in Coalgate, OK, with interment at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, TX. She was born on Dec. 15, 1936, to James “Jim” Columbus & Cleo Agnes (Cantrell) Ables, at Shady Grove, OK. Thelma graduated from Olney High School. She was a cable former for AT&T. Thelma married Bobbie Dean Pugh in Dec. of 1954 at Durant, OK. He preceded her in death in 1988. She later married Wilburn Lee Edward at Las Vegas. He also preceded her in death in 2003. Thelma attended Cottonwood Baptist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and going to yard sales. She loved her animals and spending time with her family. Survived by daughter: Jean Posey and husband Billy of Balch Springs, TX; son: Robert Pugh of Coalgate, OK; grandchildren: Billy Allen Posey and wife Lisa of Crandall, TX, Kenith Jason Posey of Dallas, TX, Dawn Pugh and partner Tim Gujda of Coalgate, OK, Karen Pugh and husband JoDean Spears of Lehigh, OK; great-grandchildren: Chelsey Posey, Dawson Posey, Bryce Posey, Kassandra Amiott Brandon Fort, Alyssa Posey, Chris Fort, Dylan Fort & Ethan Fort; great-great-grandchildren: Ava Cortez, Colton Cortez, Modecai Posey; sister: Margaret Renfro and husband Buster of Kenefic, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dearly loved friends Preceded in death by parents: James “Jim” and Cleo Agnes (Cantrell) Ables; husbands: Bobbie Dean Pugh and Wilburn Lee Edward; siblings: Therman Ables, Loie Ables, Berta Baxter and A.J. Ables; sister-in-Law: Vera Ables.
