JOHN BERNARD QUINLAN, 89, of Rockwall, TX passed
away Jan. 17, 2020, with burial at Vaughan Cemetery.
John was born June 14, 1930 in Chicago, IL to James
J. & Margaret (O’Hern) Quinlan. In 1952, he received
his Bachelor of Science degree from North Central
College. From 1953-1955, John served his country in
the U.S. Army. He began his working career in 1955
with Western Electric, which later became AT&T, and
later transferred to Mesquite, TX in 1969. He worked
as a section chief and industrial engineer.
In June of 1972, he was united in marriage to Dorothy
Goss in Ardmore, OK. Following his retirement in 1986,
the couple spent 15 great years together before Dorothy
preceded him in death on March 12, 2001.
He was of the Methodist faith. John taught Sunday school
in various classes at First United Methodist Church in
Mesquite from 1980-2007.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; son, Michael
Morrison; and daughter Dianne Foster.
Survivors include his daughter, Nila Hopkins and husband,
David, of Rockwall; seven grandchildren; & numerous great-
grandchildren.
