Dallas Works Memorial - Employees In Remembrance

Marnice Kilpatrick RENA "MARNICE" KILPATRICK was born Sept. 14, 1934, in Haslet, TX and died on March 8, 2024, in Mesquite, TX, where she has resided for the past 50+ years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Rhoda Hanes; an infant son Randy; sisters, Nova and Melba; brother, Sonny and a grandson, Kacy Russell Kilpatrick. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her four sons, Ricky (wife Sharon), Darrell (wife Cecelia), Russell and Keith; ten grandchildren, Julie, Shane, Chad, Melissa, Amanda, Jordan, Hillary, Sarah, Joshua and Jacob; fourteen great-grandchildren, Chaney, Colton, Ryleigh, Kayle, Kennedy, Kaiden, Micah, Cora, Emma, Ethan, Kaylyn, Karlea, Caroline and Sawyer and three great-great-grandchildren, Eden, Isla and Aurora. To everyone of us, she was known simply as Memom (no last name needed)! She had a huge extended family of friends, relatives and church family. She also had many, many “honorary” grandchildren who she loved, babysat and cared for over the years. The simplest pleasures of life brought great joy to Memom. She was the happiest when surrounded by her loved ones. Her greatest passion in life was to keep her “boys” close…she accomplished that goal with a very close and loving tight knit family. Her life goal was to be sure that all her children and descendants knew Jesus. She prayed constantly for their salvation and gave God the glory for it all. She was able to spend her final few days surrounded by her family and dear friends. Memom loved fiercely, she was loyal and protective, she lived a long and happy life and she was a faithful servant of the Lord…definitely a “life well lived”.
