Barbara Radney BARBARA JEAN PARKER RADNEY, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on May 22, 2024. She was born on Oct. 13, 1935, in Corsicana, TX, to James Howard Parker & Ethel Grace Parker. Barbara enjoyed playing the piano and played the baritone in her high school marching band. She was an active volunteer at church serving in Mission Friends, GA’s and youth choir. Barbara was also active in the PTA at her son’s schools. She and her late husband Jairl were faithful to attend any school event or sporting event their son participated in. Barbara graduated Salutatorian from Kerens High School in 1953 and attended the University of North Texas. She worked at Delhi-Taylor Oil, Western Electric, and AT&T. She was a dedicated member of Lake Pointe Church of Rockwall, TX. Barbara married Jairl Wade Radney at Round Prairie Baptist Church in Kerens, TX in June of 1954. Their union was a beautiful testament to love & commitment for nearly 70 years. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her Grammy. She loved them dearly and was so proud of them. Barbara was most happy when her family was together for holidays and special occasions. She especially enjoyed singing “If you’re happy and you know it” to her great-grandson Archie. Barbara loved her family and is survived by her son Stephen Radney and wife Martha Radney, grandchildren Sarah Radney Crumpler and husband Justin, and Rebekah Anne McIntosh and husband Arch, & great-grandchildren Archie McIntosh & Ruthie McIntosh. She is also survived by her cherished sister, June Bumgardner. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jairl and her parents.
