Rich Warren RICHARD EARL WARREN, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, & friend, passed away peacefully on Sept. 11, 2024 in Rowlett, TX, with burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Born on June 9, 1941 in Canton, OH, Richard lived a life filled with love, generosity, and a commitment to helping others. Richard was the beloved son of Chris & Anna Mae (Brankel) Warren. Rich married Nancy Palmer in Sept. of 1967 at North Canton, OH. Together, they moved to Athens, OH, to finish his college degree and where their first son was born. He was most proud of his family, and his greatest joy came from spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Rich graduated from Ohio University in 1969 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and went on to work in the field of engineering until 2012. Afterwards, he continued to share his work ethic and dedication through his employment at Home Depot until his retirement in the Spring of 2024. Throughout his career, Rich was known for his thoughtful & generous spirit, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. A proud veteran, Rich served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964, stationed in Norfolk, VA, as a Radioman Second Class. His time in the Navy instilled in him a deep sense of duty and commitment that he carried throughout his life. Rich was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he found solace and strength in his faith. He enjoyed fishing and golfing, but perhaps his greatest passion was helping others. His community and friends knew him as a selfless individual, always willing to go above and beyond to support those around him. His generosity knew no bounds, and his thoughtful nature made him a cherished friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sister, Carolyn. He leaves behind a loving family: his devoted spouse of 56 years, Nancy E. Warren; his children, David C. Warren, Julie A. Ryan and husband Bill, Kathleen E. Warren, Susan V. Warren, Steven V. Warren and wife Amanda; his grandchildren, Sara M. Ryan and Austin T. Ryan; and his brother, Chris Warren Jr.
